Stroke Recovery

Assisteo’s approach to stroke recovery is multi-disciplinary. Skilled nurses provide medication management and education, vital sign monitoring, and education related to recognizing signs and symptoms of a stroke or TIA. Therapy staff are trained in stroke recovery and the use of assistive/adaptive devices to optimize independence in the home environment. Physical therapy will work by restoring movement and balance to improve overall safety with mobility. Occupational therapy will focus on safe completion of activities of daily living and make recommendations for home adaptations and modification. Speech therapists are available to work on improvement in language, cognitive and swallowing difficulties that often follow a stroke. Our collaborative approach ensures success with getting back to life and the things that you or your family member enjoy most.
